The Woodward 3

WeekTwelve1

Say hello to the newest member of our family! This little bundle of cuteness is nestled comfortably inside my belly that is growing by the day (as is my appetite). I am still a number of weeks away from any significant belly growth, which I am very excited about, but my pants are beginning to feel a little more snug. This is the start of week twelve and nearing the end of the first trimester. Now, I've been told that I will begin to "feel like my old self" again any time now. Though I have not experienced more than what I would call mild morning sickness, it is neither morning nor "sickness" for me- the irony of such terms! My symptoms have mostly consisted of tiredness and nausea typically at night, along with a constant metal taste in my mouth (everybody loves eating metal!). And there was that one time when I threw up after barely making it through my front door. Needless to say, I praise God for the gift of this baby and all that comes along with it!

On to our beautiful little baby... there is nothing more amazing than seeing another being inside me moving around, seeing something God created unique, special, for His glory. Nothing I have read about concerning fetal development, which has continued to knock my socks off, compares to seeing God's handiwork before my eyes. Could I love this little one more?! Every day.

This is our prayer, that our little baby would be healthy and continue to grow, but more than this, we pray that God would bring about salvation in this little heart at an early age.

More to come...

Congratulations, Woodwards! Reminds me of John the Baptist (denominational pun neither intended nor denied) jumping for joy inside Elizabeth.

You'll be in our prayers.
