Retro Glider

My mom is so cool. I'm so impressed all the time with the many skills and abilities she possesses. She knows how to do everything crafty. She is an artist after all. Ben and I got this chair from a very kind lady who charged us $25. Where can such a deal be found but on CraigsList... Barely fitting the chair and (free) ottoman in our little car, we drove home with big smiles because we remembered seeing similar chairs, be it nicer with cushioned arm rests and other amenities, at BabiesRUs for hundreds of dollars more. The cushions needed to be recovered- this is where my mom comes in. While in Richmond for the Holbrook wedding, mom and I went to our favorite fabric store and found this fabulous pattern. The rest is history. Thanks mom for teaching me valuable skills like sewing and making projects like this so much fun! Baby Woodward already loves being rocked in it. He told me so (in his own way).
