On New Year's Eve, Sarah and I took on the task of fitting 1000 sq. feet worth of gifts and personal belongs into our apartment, which measures in at approximately 87 sq. feet. It was a day of drilling, vacuuming, nailing, scrubbing, organizing and reorganizing. If we'd only had 2 million dollars and more flamboyant personalities, we could have been on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. So here's listing of the projects completed on the 30th and 31st:
- installed small wooded shelf for holding cooking esstentials
- installed 3-tier shelf in wall nook to add much-needed cabinet space.
- removed cumbersome closet door and replaced it with fashionable and functional curtain
- installed candle holder (given by Jess Marcantonio) and painting (given by the MacLeans) in the bedroom
- replaced sad, old thermostat with a fancy-schmancy, digital, programmable thermostat
Our little apartment is turning into a "home." ( Our citizenship and eternal home will be in heaven, Phil 3:20, because of God's good grace, but this will be our home for the time being...)
You can check out all the home improvements by clicking on the cabinets, or stopping by the apartment for a visit!
God Bless!

Hey, we will have to stop by for a visit sometime soon! I do like what you have done with the place. You guys have become quite ingenious to fit so much volume into such a small bit of space. Too bad you don't have an attic to store more stuff. I s'pose that is what the trunk of the car is for.
