ie - "Home Sweet Home"
(This post is dedicated to Grant. Thanks for the prompting to write and for all the memories...)
So, we bought a house. Our posting of this most adventurous event is about 3 weeks late. But seriously, is anyone really surprised that it took us this long??
We didn't think so.
It's a modest, two-bedroom house near our church and not far from school. We currently have friends living on the same block, and we hope to make some new friends with those we don't yet know. The house seems to be in good shape, but there are many opportunities for improvement - such as our first project: refinishing the hardwood floors that lay beneath the layers of carpet and sometimes 50's-styled linoleum tile (yuck!). Curious to see more? Great! Curiosity is rewarded here at T.A.O.Y.B.A.S.W:
1) See some pictures of the house in various stages of work
2) Watch a lightly edited video of the floor refinishing project
More to come in the future...

I know you are glad to be finished with the floors! Enjoy the week at the beach!
NICE!!! I can't wait to see the finished product! Good yellow in that room, and you were right, the finished wood is wonderful -- it's a shame those fireplaces are stopped-up! Way to go Woodwards! Nice job on the house buying, tack strip liftin', floor sanding madness! And the bathroom tile isn't tacky, it has character!!!
Good to see you guys this weekend!
Love, erin
That floor is lookin' sharp, Woodwards. The pattern gives it loads of character. The trim is neat as well.
It was good seein' you two Friday. I see a Kentucky pilgrimage on the horizon.
Cool house! Thanks for rewarding my curiosity...
