I'll light the fire, while you place the flowers In the vase that you bought today.
Staring at the fire for hours and hours,
While I listen to you play your love songs All night long for me, only for me.
Our house, is a very, very, very fine house.
With two cats in the yard, Life used to be so hard,
Now everything is easy 'cause of you.
Come to me now, and rest your head for just five minutes,
Everything is done.
Such a cozy room, the windows are illuminated
By the evening sunshine through them,
Fiery gems for you, only for you.
Our house, is a very, very, very fine house.
With two cats in the yard, Life used to be so hard,
Now everything is easy 'cause of you.
So, we don't have cats and our fireplaces don't work and much to your surprise (maybe) we do not serenade each other every night... actually, we do enjoy the evening sunlight shining in through the enormous and beautiful windows in our cozy living room. I like this song a ton... and I think of it often because I am always thinking about the next project in our house. Things are slowing down quite a bit because of school, but I still manage to do something on the house every day. So far, here's the list of our house projects:
- harwood floors sleek and beautifully refinished by us (and my peeps from VA)
- grout and caulk in the bathroom (with my mom's help... she's so inquisitive and creative)
- kitchen pantry freshly painted (so, did you know that there is a paint out there that kilz all those years of age and who knows what collected on the walls that the woodward clan does not want in their food or anywhere near it. Oh, it's called Kilz... get it... Kilz kilz nasties)
- bathroom closet door painted
- bathroom closet shelves recovered (those junks were pretty gross- old paint is about as scary as
- washer and dryer hooked up (actually, I consider us the ones hooked up... pretty excited to have a w/d)** the story on our w/d deserves its own post...
- new stove (this one's a purty one and from the scratch and dent store- like that place)
- window treatments
- new programmable thermostat installed by my wonderful hubbie (love you babe)
- lots of stuff in the basement that is beyond my vocabulary's ability (thank you dan- you da marshMAN)
And now for the list of things we need to do:
- are you kidding... i don't have time to list these things and you certainly don't have time to read them...
well folks, it's 5pm and work is officially over and i'm out-a-here. until next time... cheers

I am constantly amazed that you and Ben enjoy so many oldies. I guess your dad ingrained in you a love for "My Girl" by the Temptations. Glad to hear that you are enjoying your house too. Looking forward to seeing what it looks like in person, but mostly we are looking forward to seeing you.
we are excited to spend time with you... and put you to work :)
